She recieved her Master's degree from the Products of Design Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City in May 2024. Prerna's MFA thesis explores the essence and importance of Third Spaces in society and the role Design holds in helping facilitate connections and build community.
She has always been a maker and has a growing appreciation for product design that is both functional and long-lasting. She aspires to continue building a stronger multidisciplinary design approach to her work.

In early 2023, Prerna founded Villa Number 7, a NYC-based design studio named after her childhood home in Qatar. The studio focuses on creating functional, beautiful, and environmentally responsible objects. Their debut collection was a collaboration with the American Design Club, featuring brass and sterling silver jewelry. This collection was showcased at AmericasMart, Las Vegas Market, and Shoppe Object in 2023 and is now available for sale at various US retail stores, including the Newark Museum of Art.
